Blast!

A contribution to the Java4K competition.

Controls

Enter to start, Escape to quit. The game will "grab" the mouse pointer. Move the mouse quickly upwards in order to move the mouse-pointer out of the game window.

Old mode:

Cursor keys to steer and Control to shoot.

New mode:

Steer with mouse. 'w'/'s' forward/backward. 'a' 'd' to strife left and right.

Both modes work at the same time, so no need to switch.

Play

Shoot the yellow blobs (red on the radar) while avoiding getting hit by the green blobs. The screen shows a first person view of the playing field. At the same time there is a top down view radar displayed centered around your crosshair, so you have to concentrate to not confuse the blobs on the radar and the "real" ones. It takes a short while to get used to. New blobs are spawned all the time, so you better start blasting blobs right away.
